The ever growing youth team in Llanelli.
What a weekend! It was hectic but great. Saturday morning started off brilliantly. As you'll be aware we have a youth group here in Llanelli - Plaid Ifanc Llanelli. To say they are committed is an understatement! They are simply brilliant and their enthusiasm infectious. We had three new members of the youth team arrive at the office! A very warm welcome to you.

It was also great to welcome Simon Thomas AM (diolch o galon i ti Simon) who with some of the team went to campaign in Swiss Valley. Thanks again to Helen Mary Jones for her tremendous contribution and commitment - DIOLCH!

At 10:00 Mr Owain Phillips arrived from ITV's Sharp End. We chatted briefly about the campaign then it was off to the market in the town centre for the interview. The interview will be broadcast on Monday 12th of January at 2240 on ITV Wales.

From there it was off to the stall and meeting with residents. We discussed a variety of issues from education to health and equally the state of the town centre after 93 years of a Labour MP.
It was great to also visit shop owners in the town - thanks for the warm welcome. The main issue AGAIN - CAR PARKING CHARGES!

Listening to the concerns of local residents.
I have done so many times before in public and shall do so now - I URGE LABOUR-LED CARMARTHENSHIRE COUNCIL TO SCRAP THE PARKING CHARGES IN THE TOWN CENTRE! Labour are penalising people for trying to shop in the town centre! This makes no sense whatsoever! Surely we should be SUPPORTING the town centre anyway we can! Surely!

Saturday afternoon - a visit to Parc y Scarlets to watch us against Cross Keys. From there it was on to a meeting at Ty Bres! What a day! Such a warm welcome and people agreeing that for far too long (93 years in May) we've had London's voice in Llanelli - it's high time we had Llanelli's voice in London.

Sunday, normally a day of rest... not so. More meetings in the morning with the youth team - again a huge thanks to you all - DIOLCH!

Cold and wet but worth every second! Great victory.

In the afternoon I went to watch Dafen Ladies AFC play against Briton Ferry Ladies. The result was a GREAT 5-0 win for Dafen AFC! What a great start to 2015. Congratulations. Thanks also for the warm welcome. Best wishes for the season ahead and keep me informed of upcoming fixtures please.

From the football, it was.... more meetings. These meeting were extremely productive - thanks to everyone again!

Thanks to everyone for such a warm welcome and poitive response. I look forward to doing it all again next weekend and listening to your views and opinions about the way forward!

Diolch o galon i chi gyd. YMLAEN!
